General Information
The Tashiro Kaplan Artist Lofts provides 50-units of affordable housing for artists and their families.
Developed by Artspace Projects, Inc. and the Pioneer Square Community Association, Tashiro Kaplan is conveniently located in the heart of Pioneer Square and offers our residents:
- Spacious one, two, and three bedroom live/work units from 800 – 1,863 square feet
- Open floor plans with high ceilings and durable surfaces
- Large community room and on-site laundry facilities
- Interior courtyard for the use of our residents
- Underground parking is available with elevator access
- Located near Seattle’s bus tunnel, train station and ferry system
The TK is classified as tax-credit, low-income housing. Prospective tenants and their families must income qualify at or below either 50% or 60% of area median income. Heads of household must also demonstrate a commitment to an art practice that exceeds the hobby level.
